1. Inspiring Sustainable Development
Our goal for PBS Texas is to inspire our attendees, sponsors, and event teams to deliver a sustainable event.
2. Running an Environmentally Responsible Event
PBS Texas aims to run our conference in an environmentally responsible manner.
Here’s what we are doing:
- We are utilizing digital signage onsite wherever possible.
- Replacing single-use water bottles – We are giving our speakers reusable water bottles instead of single-use plastic containers.
- Recycling bins – Recycle your badge and lanyards at one of the bins provided in the conference area.
3. Running a Socially Responsible Event
We always aim to run our events in a socially responsible manner.
This requires us to think about the impact we have on the local community and ensure whether we are being a good neighbor. It also includes how we consider the welfare of everyone at our events, how we do business in an ethical and safe manner, and how we promote equality and accessibility.
Sustainable Travel Tips
Bring Reusable Items.
Opting for reusable items like water bottles, shopping bags, and travel utensils reduces single-use plastic waste. Bringing your own toiletries also helps reduce waste during your travels.
Pack Light!
Bring only what you need. Lighter luggage reduces fuel consumption in planes, trains, and cars.
Conserve Resources.
Reuse towels and sheets at hotels, turn off lights, and unplug electronics when not in use.
